Working a Corporate Photoshoot

March 1, 2018

So I took a ton of photos today – like 22 gigs worth of photos. Annnnnnd I can’t show you any of them. Sorry! But the photoshoot went really well today!

I woke up around 7:30am and started getting ready for the day. I had to check out of the hostel and stop off at a convenience store because I forgot my toothpaste at Emily’s. I also desperately wanted a coffee, but didn’t have time to get one.

Side note: why does Seoul have a Starbucks everywhere?!? According to the Korea Times (published back in 2014), Seoul is the most Starbucks-filled city in the world with an insane 284 shops opened. There are 4 in a 1-block radius around this office. Like, why is that necessary?? And yet, they’re always busy.

I arrived into the office at 8:45am to set up the rooms and clean things up. At this point, I was just really ready for the photoshoot to be over, and I could stop being so stressed out about it.

The photoshoot started promptly at 10am, and everyone in the office was super friendly and easy to work with. I had a great time getting to know everyone. I wrapped the shoot around 2:30pm, and I headed off to another hostel in Itaewon.

I took train 4 to train 6 (walked up way too many stairs with a suitcase) and walked down windy alleys until I found Amazon Hostel.

Emily was meeting me at the hostel once she got off work, and we were going to go out to dinner and meet up with some of her friends. But before she got to Seoul, I was able to sneak in a little nap, and it was super amazing.

You know what’s also super amazing? Korean filters. We can’t get enough.

We ate dinner at a restaurant that randomly served grilled cheese (nom nom nom), and then we went to this underground art show with Emily’s friend. Overall, a great night spending time with my best friend. And also a really great time knowing that the photoshoot was all done.

Until I need to edit them …
