Despite my valiant efforts of avoiding the bug going around, I woke up this morning with a sore throat and runny nose. So my main agenda (besides brunch – duh) was to drink as many vitamins as I could get my hands on. I’m so lucky that juices here in Bali are absolutely delicious.
I decided on Monsieur Spoon, a French-styled cafe near Canggu’s main square. I tried to balance out my breakfast with things my body could work with: protein, healthy fat, greens, carbs, etc.
Side note – why is smashed avocado so dang yummy?? I wouldn’t consider myself basic, but the level of love I have for smashed avocado suggests otherwise.
I wanted to continue my cafe routine for the day even though I was progressively feeling worse. I gathered up my computer and camera, and I scooted out to the next coffee spot on my list – Bungalow Living.
To be honest, I wasn’t really into the vibe of the cafe. It was super cute and girlie, but it didn’t feel natural to open up my computer to work. I think a girl’s get-together over a pot of chamomile tea would be a better match.
After feeling miserably exhausted from a small fever building, I thought to myself, “Why am I here??” I got back on my scooter, back to the hostel, and back to my bed.
I slept for 3 hours.
Oh, I almost forgot. I got this text today:
I might be sick, but I still jump at opportunities to text random strangers. Which leads me to ask, has anyone ever heard of this guy before? He’s hilarious.
That guy is pretty funnyyy!!
