The King of Instagram Locations in Canggu

December 12, 2017

By tourist standards, I’ve stayed in Canggu for a while now. I make it my mission to go to a new brunch spot and/or coffee cafe every day.

(I know, my life is so hard)

But y’all – I have found the King of Instagram-worthy spots in all of Canggu (probably).

I heard about this place from my local friend named Echklintingan. He’s an architect who’s designed quite a few projects around Bali, and he only hangs out at the cool spots. No lie, every time he recommends a place, it’s always top-notch. So when he said I should check out La Brisa, I went the very next day. And let me tell you, my mouth was hanging open the moment I walked through the wooden gates.

La Brisa

Because I’m a forever fan of brunch, I really wanted to test La Brisa to the high standards I’ve developed since being in Canggu (up against places such as Crate). I ordered pancakes with brown sugar, cranberries, caramelized bananas, and nuts.

The pancakes were beautiful … in person. However, it really didn’t translate to photo. It kinda looks like – how do I say this like a lady – it looked like dog poop on top.

La Brisa

This was really just my fault; the meal was truly beautiful. Not sure what went wrong with my photo skillz.

But to give you an idea of how Instagram-worthy La Brisa is, here’s a few photos from other people’s Instagrams that I found using the hashtag.

Later that afternoon, I went back to a quiet little cafe in Canggu called Just Warung. Though it has a nice review on TripAdvisor, I rarely see travelers there. It’s always serene with locals stopping in for a snack or coffee.

There’s a nice breeze that comes off of the neighboring rice field, and they always seat me next to an outlet. And because of this, it’s one of my favorite places in Canggu.
