This was it. I was living in my moment. I officially had a website devoted to the thing I loved the most – writing. Overnight, I became a glamorous blogger, with a fervor unequal to the average human. I was hungry for blogging and READY. TO. GO.
Then reality kicked me in the face …
The pressure of putting all of my perfect thoughts into a perfect blog for this perfect first impression was a little too much for me. Like, this was my chance to prove to the world (wide web) of my wits and intellect. All into a conveniently sized blog of 600 words or less.
Awesome.
So instead of racking my brain for clever blog titles like “10 Reasons Why Starting a Blog Is Awesome” or “23 Reasons Why You Should Start a Blog When You’re 23,” I decided to instead give you a glimpse of why this shouldn’t be the last time you visit my website.
I give you — 5 Reasons Why This Shouldn’t Be My Only Blog You Read
Let’s begin, shall we?
1. My plans for traveling
I have a serious passion for seeing the world. With an upcoming trip to Europe in 48 days, you’ll read about the delightful adventures I’ll have across the pond. But let’s be honest, that can get monotonous. I mean, “I went to Athens, and here’s some pics of me doing some stuff” gets a little old.
Well, don’t you fret. As a first time international traveler, I’m going to write about how you can avoid mistakes by divulging the many mistakes I will make. What’s adventure without finding yourself in awkward situations? Oh, you’ll hear all about it.
2. I love new things
Whether I’ll be across the world or in my hometown of Dallas, I’ll be finding new, exciting things to do. Who loves a solid action shot? Everyone does!! Done.
3. Music and movies are kinda like air for me
I speak fluent song lyrics and movie quotes. From Tom Petty and Johnny Cash to Kesha and One Direction. From Moulin Rouge and Mean Girls to Gladiator and Dumb and Dumber. I got the bases covered.
4. Sometimes, I’m serious
“Say whaaaat?” I know, what a concept. But it’s necessary. You have to keep things in balance. Sometimes I’ll write about the funny encounters I had, and other times I’ll write about the complexities of human existence in this vast universe. *Interstellar music swells*
5. I don’t want to show, I want to share
I’m not about this whole distant life thing. I don’t want to just show you the cool things that I’ve found about life. I want to share them with you, and I want to hear about the cool things you’ve done too. And maybe through it all, we can laugh and grow together.
So I hope the 5 Reasons Why This Shouldn’t Be My Only Blog You Read was able to convince you to come back and check in on me.
And here’s my shameless plug about the other social media outlets that you can follow me on. Check them out on the side bar to the right, or at the bottom of the page to find me on Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest… and such as…

You’re a very talented writer Meagan! It is refreshing. Love the website! So neat and efficient. I would love to get some tips on what you used/how you put it together.
Hey Karissa! Thank you so much! I’m glad you like it! I wrote a few articles about the biggest things I learned while planning my trips. International travel was so new to me, and I didn’t even know where to begin! It’s daunting at first, but totally worth it.
Oh man…… I’m hooked. I just read through everything. I rarely find a blog I like and want to keep up with, but I have a couple that I’m obsessed with. Guess I have one more now. Congrats, Tilley! The world is not ready for you!
Gaaah! Thanks for the support Holly! That means so much coming from you! Love ya!
Aww, hooray! Y’all are the best! I’m so glad you like reading it!
I’m loving this already! Yay, Meagan! I look forward to your future posts and hearing about what all you are doing. And nice website, by the way 😉
